Palace

PALACE is a glimpse into the world of an elegant nightmare. A surrealist-inspired take on partnership, the work uncovers the relationship of a couple, slowly pulling back the layers of the external facade, exposing a world that is filled with insecurity and doubt. Two emotional beings simultaneously intertwining and colliding, traveling deeper and deeper into the dark corners of their internal thought spaces. There, they encounter the places where difficult emotions are buried, where ghosts of the past inform reactions to the present, revealing a world they only want to run from.

While We're Us

While We're Us

Commissioned by Open Space Dance, Portland, Oregon

A world of dreamy landscapes, where external layers dissolve, and raw, playful, unfiltered connections emerge. Inner grooves and rhythms become a sanctuary, inviting us to lower our inhibitions and shed performative facades. Here, the body and the quality of interaction speak louder than words, allowing connection to weave its magic.

A Flower Is An Explosion

A Flower Is An Explosion

Commissioned by Korea National Contemporary Dance Company

A FLOWER IS AN EXPLOSION examines the effects of dopamine in the brain and body. Through a surrealist lens, the work opens up a fantasy of individual and shared experiences of anticipation and craving, where rules of interaction stem from untamed chemical reactions and the development of new instincts. Curious to question the role of balanced vs unbalanced reward systems in our daily lives, the piece investigates the side effects of imbalance, and the ephemeral quality of satisfaction in our current culture.

Sing The Song From The Beginning

Sing The Song From The Beginning

Created and produced with the support of LA Dance Project / LAUNCH: LA Residency & Performance Series

"Sing The Song From The Beginning" is a dive into the emotional landscape of childhood memories. The work explores what affects the way we construct and reconstruct images, events, and sensations from our past, recognizing that the act of remembering is inherently flawed and prone to distortion. By researching threads of connection between the past and present self through recounted family history, written letters, home videos, photographs, body memory, and open conversation, the piece examines the personal and current perspective that is projected onto remembered emotions.

Once, & For All

Once, & For All

What the hell is happily ever after? Reflections on learning that love and happiness are two different entities, with nonlinear trajectories in common. Much is expected, nothing is guaranteed. Deconstructing the fairytale, all the while discovering the joys and challenges that make up the story of how another being can become a home.

Bioland

Bioland

Originally created for Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Israel 2021. Polish premiere commissioned for Crush on Trash Foundation, co-financed by the National Institute of Music and Dance, Poland 2024.

"Bioland" explores humanity's impact on our planet, weaving together themes of captivity, industrialization, and technological progress reshaping ecosystems and affecting the lives of living organisms worldwide. Viewers are invited to contemplate their place within the system unfolding in front of them, raising questions around the perceived boundary between observer and participant. Blurring the lines between spectacle, experiment, exhibit, and enclosure, the work challenges anthropocentric values through a fantastical, at times surrealistic, lens.

Doings

Inspired by the pressures of the current cultural climate to constantly produce in order to be seen, and the search for honest motivations in a space of overstimulation and excess, "doings" seeks to present the inner dialogue of a mind in process as it reacts and responds to the world around it.

Subject To More Debate

"Subject to More Debate" is a statement on the damage we will inevitably cause by wasting time debating if global warming is truly a threat to our existence. We must ask ourselves, would we want to live in the kind of world that we are leaving behind for generations to come?

Outrun The Bear
Outrun The Bear

There is a saying,

"when being chased by a bear, you don't need to outrun the bear, you just need to outrun your friend."

We choose to outrun the bear together — a statement that symbolizes our commitment to partnership and the practice of upholding a supportive, collaborative environment as the foundation of our creative journey.
