SING THE SONG FROM THE BEGINNING
“Sing The Song From The Beginning” is a dive into the emotional landscape of childhood memories. The work explores what affects the way we construct and reconstruct images, events, and sensations from our past, recognizing that the act of remembering is inherently flawed and prone to distortion. By researching threads of connection between the past and present self through recounted family history, written letters, home videos, photographs, body memory, and open conversation, the piece examines the personal and current perspective that is projected onto remembered emotions.
